Terms and Conditions
Here you can find a summary of how A Vida Portuguesa online shop operates and its sale conditions. A Vida Portuguesa online shop is an internet site exclusively dedicated to national and international sales of Portuguese products.
Costs
All items available at A Vida Portuguesa online shop include VAT at the current rate, established by the Portuguese law. Shipping charges will be added, to the price, depending of the delivery destination. If you live outside the European Union, please note that customs in your country may charge you with additional fees (that vary from one country to another). If you want to be on the safe side, please check your country custom fees before placing an order.
Orders
To place an order for one or more items from A Vida Portuguesa, the customer must follow the usual procedure for online shops: use the buttons next to each article to add an item to the basket and adjust quantities if you wish to purchase more than one item. When you are done with your selection, simply proceed to check-out, following the instructions provided by the website at each step of the way.
Payment Methods
A Vida Portuguesa customers can choose between one of the following payment methods: Credit Card, PayPal or Bank Transfer. If the payment of an order is not fulfilled within three working days, the order will be cancelled.
PayPal is a system that allows for payments, storing the details in an individual account, without having to disclose them every time one makes a purchase on the internet.
If you wish to pay by bank transfer, A Vida Portuguesa requires a proof of the payment, such as a scan of the payslip over a cash machine or forwarding the e-mail (functionality that most e-banking systems provide). The order will be shipped upon receiving the confirmation.
Shipping Services
All orders are shipped via national Post Office of Portugal (CTT). The service provides a tracking reference that allows the customer to go on their website and locate each order, from shipment to delivery.
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated accordingly to the weight of the items selected. Please check shipping costs after placing your order and prior to payment.
Delivery Time
A Vida Portuguesa sends out orders on a daily basis. Within Portugal, allow for circa three to five days for delivery. Abroad, delivery times can vary from one week (for Europe) to two (for the rest of the world).
Delivery Guarantee
In the event of an order not reaching it's final destination, A Vida Portuguesa will take responsibility for reimbursing the customer for its full cost. If the delivery does not happen and the postman leaves a notice for the order to be collected from the post office, it is the customer's responsibility to pick it up. And if the order is returned to the sender after not being collected during the period of time allocated by the local post authorities, it is the customer's responsibility to pay for the charges of a second delivery.
Returns Policy
A Vida Portuguesa will refund its customers (for both the value of the product and the shipping costs applicable) in case the products ordered prove to be faulty from the original supplier. It is required, however, that the items are returned in their original packaging and in perfect condition within 30 days of the initial purchase date. This is the applicable deadline for returns and exchanges. Customers will also be fully reimbursed in case of of stock unavailability.
Privacy Policy
The personal data supplied by the customers is kept safe within A Vida Portuguesa records and will not be unlawfully used, passed on to third parties or used for any other than order processing purposes. The customers may exercise their right to access, modify, update and delete their data at any moment, according to the Data Protection Act.
